Oral use

This medicine is often used to manage conditions related to progesterone deficiency, such as treatment of threatened or habitual miscarriage, menstrual disorders, infertility, and endometriosis.
Approved uses may differ by country. Always refer to the locally approved product information.

Dydrogesterone is a type of progestogen, a hormone similar to the naturally occurring progesterone in the body. It is often prescribed to support hormonal balance in women, particularly in cases where the body does not produce enough progesterone. This includes conditions like irregular menstrual cycles, premenstrual syndrome, risk of pregnancy loss, and infertility.

Dydrogesterone is an orally-active progestogen, which produces a complete secretory endometrium in an estrogen-primed uterus thereby providing protection against the increased risk for endometrium hyperplasia and/or carcinogenesis induced by estrogens.
